Matthew Fox teases Season 6 premiere - and the series end - of 'Lost'
Maybe it was the product of downing too many margaritas on a sundrenched beach, or perhaps thinking that what happens in Monte Carlo stays in Monte Carlo, but Matthew Fox recently got some loose lips at Monaco's annual television festival. And thank goodness, because Fox is said to be the only cast member to know how "Lost" will end when the series concludes next season.
Well, that's nothing new for "Lost," right? But Fox adds that the season premiere will pick up right where it ended last month, with the island after-effects of Juliet detonating the nuclear bomb. Oh, and the 1977 and 2007 Losties will come together in a single timeline about one-third of the way through the season. (That puts a potential Sun-Jin reunion at about Episode 5, which seems a bit long to wait after an entire season of separation, but whatever…) The consolidation would mean, too, that the flashbacks and flash-forwards would stop (which I'm a little sad about, quite frankly). Plus, there will definitely be a final Jack-Locke showdown, although Fox didn't mention whether Jack Shephard would face off with the real (and, based on the finale, the very dead) John Locke or Jacob's nemesis, the Anti-Locke. As for the series' final scene, which producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have had in their minds for years? Yup, Fox knows that, too. And that's when he pretty much snapped his trap shut. On a side note, there's been a rumor going 'round this week - based on the Twittering of a supposed talent agency assistant - that the producers are trying to sign killed-off Original Recipe castaways Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Maggie Grace (Shannon) for a bunch of Season 6 episodes. That's not such big news on the Charlie front, since he's made guest appearances several times (to a doubting Hurley) since leaving the show. (Monaghan also is reportedly starring in a new ABC series, "FlashForward" in the fall.) But a Shannon return? Whoa. Grace's reps have denied that it's happening, and Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that no deals are in place for ANY of the Season 1 folks to come back. "In place" being the key phrase here, however, since Ausiello also hears that the show is checking into the availability of some major players. Hmm. Does that mean a possible future Boone sighting? Probably not, since Ian Somerhalder is on board with the CW's "Vampire Diaries." Maybe more Walt and Michael? I'd love to see that storyline pushed a bit more, and ABC did just cancel Michael Perrineau's other ABC gig, "The Unusuals…" What do you think, Lost-philes? Are you liking what you're hearing so far about how the series will end? And if the rumors are true, which deceased 815er would you most like to see back on the show? (Photos courtesy of ABC)

Maggie Grace hints about Lost returnActress Maggie Grace has dropped hints that she may be returning to Lost. Grace played Shannon Rutherford for two seasons of Lost before her character was killed off but she has now suggested that she may be back for the sixth
and final season of the ABC show.
Speaking to E! she said "I'm looking forward to visiting Hawaii soon. I don't know why..." Lost is filmed in Hawaii.

She added "I think that they are brilliant writers. If they found the right reason, then I'm sure I would be on." It has been reported that Emilie De Ravin who plays Claire and Elizabeth Mitchell who plays Juliet will both return for the final season. There has also
been speculation that Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) may also return.

Book plug: 'Lost: Messages From the Island'Stop working on your "Lost" scrapbooks right now, because Titan Books has done it for you. Subtitled "The Best of Lost: The Official Magazine" (where do I subscribe?), it's lushly illustrated, as they say, and actually quite heavy. Masterminds Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are disarmingly honest about the origins and direction of the show. (Example: Will we find out the story of the Black Rock? Not sure!) At any rate, it will tide you over for a while. Sample chapters: THE SWAN REVEALED: "We take you deeper into the hatch than you've ever been before." BETWEEN A ROCKER AND A HARD PLACE: "An interview with Dominic Monaghan and Emilie De Ravin." FLIGHT PLAN: "Original concept art for Oceanic Flight 815's wreckage." SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE: "Interviews with the actors behind The Others." CREATURE FEATURES: "The island's mysterious 'Monster.'" It would make a nice gift.

Comic-Con 2009
Old Faces Return for Final Season of 'Lost'
Saturday, July 25, 2009
For instance, during the panel they showed a montage of memorable dead characters, ending with Charlie. After it was over, Dominic Monaghan stepped on stage to wave hello. Is this just a coincidence? After all, Monaghan was already at Comic-Con because he's the newest cast member of ABC's Flash Forward. Or, if you believe in conspiracy theories, maybe Monaghan is only in Flash
Forward so that he can have cover for being at all these events. There are way too many coincidences at this point, and if Monaghan doesn't appear
in some way during the final season of Lost, I will eat my hat.
There is no speculation needed, however, for Elizabeth Mitchell. Despite holding the bomb when it went off, Mitchell WILL be back for next season. So in January, Mitchell will pull double duty for ABC's sci-fi shows, also starring in V. But while Cuse and Lindelof said Elizabeth Mitchell was returning, Josh Holloway may have let something slip during the press interviews afterwards. In describing what Sawyer will be like in the final season, Holloway indicated that his character will revert to his bitter, non-lheroic life after the death of Juliet. So in whatever capacity Mitchell returns, it won't be next to Sawyer. "Now that he's lost Juliet, I think the leader/hero thing is gone," Holloway said. He added that Sawyer is "heart-broken, he's back to [thinking] the world sucks." Cuse and Lindelof also revealed that the final season will be a lot like the first and that they've already written the final scene of the series. They were vague on the details, but there were definite allusions to the possibility that the bomb worked and somehow altered the timeline of the series. The two creators were also joined by four familiar faces on the panel. Josh Holloway, Jorge Garcia, Michael Emerson and Nestor Carbonell all showed up. Constance ...
