Tuesday, November 09, 1999 Queenstown, New Zealand is flooded and work is temporarily stopped on shooting of Lord of the Rings.
Wednesday, November 10, 1999 - Management finally allows the press its first interview with castmembers, Billy Boyd and Dom Monaghan. No pictures are still allowed at this point of any of the cast members.
Late November, 1999 - Filming begins for night shots near the caves in Mt. Owen, Murchison. The Kawaru River is substituted for the scenes at Anduin, due to flooding.
