I submitted the BBB url and site summary to google and yahoo yesterday. I didn't say anything, because I thought it would take longer to show a difference.
Since search bots change daily and sometimes hourly, it may change again. Don't be disappointed if it goes lower [or higher] again.  Pippin: "I didn't think it would end this way." Gandalf: "End? You can only submit a site once, but now that it's been submitted the google bots [now there's a great name for Billy's band] will continue to search this site looking for changes. As it changes every day with new posts and hits, it should be ok. It's especially helpful whenever one of the posts types one of the keywords used that are most relevant. In this site's case, that would be BILLY BOYD.

If Billy is one of your keywords than just "Billy" would work. Since most people search under the phrase "Billy Boyd" when using google, that would be better.... but it seems redundant to type "Billy Boyd" into every thread when we all know who we're talking about.

How does this work? I've never done the Googling about Billy because I have all the sites bookmarked on my browser. But I tried this out today to track 'us'...Do I just type in "Billy Boyd" in the search field at Google??
I sort of did that today and I didn't see us...  (But I sort of took a short cut and typed it into my Google toolbar at the top of my browser rather than going to Google.com...Does that make a difference? *is so stupidly clueless*)

Yeah, after I get to the Google site, I just typed in 'Billy Boyd' and see what comes up. The BBB was located pretty far back, but hopefully we are closer now. I will have to check again

Penny, I just now googled "Billy Boyd" at 9:07 pm [pst] and this site came up #44 on my first search page. I have my perferences set to show 100 hits per page.
I wish there were an easy way to explain this, but every second of every day bots are out there searching and resending information on the information highway. If I checked Google again in 15 minutes, we would NOT be #44 again. We might be higher or we might be lower. There is no logic or way of controlling this.
