I have had 'a day' and haven't been able to get near a computer to access the BBB until just now...thank you so much for all of your hard work. My daughter tackled the tickets this morning, too! We will not be going to New York... just Cambridge. I'm right now trying to sort out if we have over bought tickets (which I do not consider a problem). I could have sworn she said she purchased three tickets at table 9. How big are these tables? She is in class this evening, and I won't call her until much later. Is it possible we have managed to buy at the same table? LOL! If you bought three with us in mind, I will reimburse you immediately - if I have extra tickets, I am sure they can be sold to someone who may want them (I'll solve that later). Would you like for me to send you a check right away? What is easiest? And yes, thus far we have two rooms reserved in Cambridge. I don't recall the name of the place, but I can supply that later. As she works for Hampton/Hilton in this area, it was easy for her to search for rooms, and she grabbed two that were available in case we needed two rooms. We will not cancel one of them unless we are certain no one wants it. Onward...great job everyone.

The Hampton in Cambridge you describe sounds like the same place - it's the Hampton @ Logan/Boston Airport, 230 Lee Burbank Highway. Becca tells me there is free shuttle service to the airport, and the metro transit system services the airport and the general area very efficiently as Passim Cultural Center is apparently next door to Harvard University. Consequently, she does not think it will be necessary to use cabs. I guess we will be able to tell after arriving what will work best - cabs are always an option. The room she has reserved is $119 per night (I think this may be her employee/family rate), and has the two queen beds. It sounds like it could sleep four comfortably. Sounds like we can keep it reserved, and people may be able to use it. We can always cancel it if not needed. Breakfast is complementary, internet service is free, and she also mentioned something about a little wine/munchie social that is available for hotel guests. I didn't think to ask about a pool, but I am fairly sure a pool is available. The Hamptons I have stayed in previously have always had pool, spa, and oh yes, a work out room (not doing that though unless I spot Billy in there first). Last Edited By: Sharry 09/12/09 04:44:29. If needed Becca can probably shop for more rooms. I can't remember if I've mentioned this previously (forgive me if I'm repeating myself) but my daughter Rebecca works for the Hampton/Hilton hotel chain in this area. She can shop for additional rooms pretty easily, and can get a pretty competitive rate as an employee.
