Ireland's RTÉ has picked up ABC's FlashForward, it has been announced. The action drama, which stars Sonya Walger, Joseph Fiennes and Dominic Monaghan, has also been acquired by free TV broadcasters Cuatro (Spain), Nelonen (Finland), RUV (Iceland) and TV2 (Norway), plus pay TV broadcasters AXN (Spain & Portugal), Digiturk (Turkey), Fox International Channels (Greece and Cyprus) and SBS (Netherlands). "FlashForward is a high concept, original idea which explores the subject - is our destiny predetermined or do we have the power to change our future?" said Disney-ABC-ESPN Television's Stephen Moore. "With this relatable theme at its core and the brilliant production, this compelling show has generated strong international buzz. We're looking forward to working with our partners across EMEA to keep the momentum building in the run-up to FlashForward's highly-anticipated premiere in their territories." Earlier this year, it was announced that Five had picked up the drama series with
plans to air it within days of US transmission.

Tonight sees the highly anticipated season 1 premiere, of the new ABC science-fiction series "Flash Forward," which stars include Joseph Fiennes and Dominic Monaghan. And according to buddytv.com, tonight's episode is called "No More Good Days." It starts off just as a normal day in Los Angeles and takes a sudden distressing turn, when the entire population of the world, just all black out at once. If that isn't enough to make you want to watch the season 1 premiere, then I don't know what will. We then meet FBI agent Mark Benford and his partner Demetri Noh, who are in a car chase. Then we see Mark's wife Dr. Olivia Benford, who is right in the middle of surgery, with her colleague Dr. Bryce Varley. It then goes to Oliva and Mark's daughter. Mark and Olivia's daughter, Charlie is meant to be looked after by the baby-sitter Nicole Kirby, but she is too busy with her boyfriend. That is when the world blacks out for the exact time of two minutes and seventeen seconds. Sounds like it will be a good show, but will you be watching

As I was busy last evening, I watched last night's Flash Forward on the internet today.
I think this is really good...I'm quite enjoying it. The parodies of political administrations are quite apparent, but that's part of what I enjoy. "Wow," I thought...""that was a definite zinger at current political figures".
