A true adventure

Where will i start...i arrived at the airport very excited and very tired (Red eye from San Diego).I arrived in NYC even more excited,at our hotel and was met from my "cab" by Billy B who greeted me with a huge hug,who i was very glad to see as we had not caught up with each other in person for a while.

The rest of the guys got in a little later.For the first 3 days we had rehearsals in the East Village in our rehearsal studio. At this point we started to change our accents...soon! i know,but we adapted a little just to prevent any potential confusion with the locals especially when ordering food and drink. We spent many hours choosing the best places to eat usually BJ got his way...Pizza!...again. We did eventually discover several different places with good tips from our friends and"Tweeters"...thank you.

We started the familiar routine of travelling in Taxi's sorry "cabs".Cab drivers!...what can i say i sat in the front seat several times...a rollercoaster to say the least.

The reheasals were fun and very productive and then the shows began.Everyone of the shows were great.Playing the tracks from our album was a life's ambition achieved..and the people i met were so nice and pleasant and had great things to say about our performace and the album.I personally was taken aback by how many people bought CD's and T shirts from us and i was happy to speak to everyone who wanted to have a conversation however brief and sign anything that was given to me.

If i had to choose one my fav show was the first night at Joe's Pub in New York. Inmy opinion all of the guys were on form musicaly...and we all know Billy B tells a good story which gave the songs some backround,body and meaning which seemed to give them an extra interest.The audiences seemed to stop breathing to listen so carefully to the songs which as a band we appreciated so much.

As ever BJ(my room mate on tour)kept me calm and chilled throughout the tour.Rick as ever,always the one to encourage me to stop and take it all in,which i apreciated.Billy kept me laughing from the moment i arrived in NYC to the very moment i left.Thank you guys for making the experience so great,i wouldn't have changed a thing (well maybe BJ's driving).To eveyone who attended the shows and gave us outstanding support,thank you so much.Lets hope we can do it again someday soon.

My first visit to New York was amazing and seeing so much of America was a pleasure and a privilage.I loved playing my drums,I loved spending time with my best friends and i love being in Beecake!
