He plays a bijrol as a journalist. And Billy Boyd, hobbit Pippin in "The Lord or the, plays ring" of the head roles. "Glenn" are a psychological drama concerning two well bevriende pianisten who try each other at outdoing. But their friendship runs on the shelves by rivalry for a woman (photograph AP) if of both its hand break, uses he a robot (Glenn) to play in its place piano. Regisseur Goldstein is 39 and twisted already seven kortfilms and a documentary. They tells Bill has the head role. Will he be Jack, then ? That's would be funny ! There is a few french articles about Glenn, but nothing really new. I hope too it will be ready for Cannes ..! -----

Depardieu and hobbit Billy Boyd in Belgian film sa 16/12/06 - Belgian director Marc Goldstein succeeded in ensnaring French staractor Gérard Depardieau to his movie-debut "Glenn". He will play a supporting role as a journalist. And Billy Boyd, hobbit Pippin in "Lord of the Rings", will play one of the leading characters. "Glenn" is a psychological drama about two well friended pianists who are trying to overtrump each other. But their friendship ends through the rivalery about a woman. When one of them breaks his hand, he uses a robot (Glenn) to play piano in his place. Director Goldstein is 39 and directed seven short movies and a documentary already. For his first longplay-movie he can appeal to Gérard Depardieau, Billy Boyd (photo) and also Patrick Bauchau (Panic Room). It will be the first time that the trio will act in a Belgian production. Billy Devotee (501 - 2000 Posts) Posts: 542 12/18/06 20:05:18 Keeper of Billy's acoustic guitar playing and relationship with Ali	The only film I know that I've seen Depradieu in was (I think) a Disney film about a guy with his teenaged daughter, but I felt he was a good actor. I do think it is wonderful that Billy goes after things that interest him more than worrying about the money side of things. Though I sure wouldn't mind another film or two that would be assured a wide release. This one sounds facsinating!

I love the French films he made. Try Jean de Florette as a good example. I am so pleased that Billy has chosen to do this. It really sounds quite fascinating.

I love Gerard Depardieau's nose, i just want to kiss it. The love of my life was a Frenchman and had a nose like his, and i noticed that his mother kissed his dad's nose the same way i kissed their son's nose.(they had the same shape of nose) Irrisistable!

BBB Virgin (0-500 Posts) Posts: 50 12/19/06 11:52:02	Gerard Depardieau was also in a movie with Whoopie Goldberg about a little boy who had Gerard Depardieau's character as an imaginary friend to the little boy but I can't remember the name of the flick, darn it. It was called Mr. something or other, but I just can't remember the name. Blast! But I really love the story, if anyone can remember the name of the movie, post it so we can all look for it, it really was good. This sounds great. Gerard Depardieau is a very large man, and Billy is so much smaller (in such a wonderful way) that this should be visually interesting and probably a bit comic, the pair being the classic "Mutt and Jeff". Henry and Jack are two famous and talented pianists: they are rivals and try to outdo each other in the various music events where they regularly compete. They have known each other since their days at the music academy and developed a very strong friendship. They met Lana there and Jack had an affair with her then. This friendship deteriorated along the years and Lana left Jack for Henry. Jack's resentment towards Henry will increase even further when he realizes that although his talent as a pianist is as great a talent as Henry's, he always ended up second … behind Henry. Simultaneously, Lana slowly realized that the only thing Henry cares about is his job. When she gets pregnant, he tells her he doesn't want the child and she leaves him, taking refuge with Jack who thus finds a way to get back at Henry. From that point, the former friends will clash with no mercy, from contest to contest until the day a domestic robot, GLENN, enters their lives. GLENN will jeopardize everybody and everything around them but will also lead them into the most challenging soul searching. I wish I knew which one Billy was playing! It would be so nice to know which guy Billy is playing. I was also thinking the size difference between the two men will be interesting. Depardieau is about 4" taller then Billy and is a big, broad shoudered man. Billy is going to look so tiny! Handsome, sexy, but tiny.
