Yes, I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday as well. I certainly did - it started well before Christmas Eve and continued on through last evening.
It's going to keep going as well - I plan a fairly quiet day today, but will be joining others for dinner tomorrow evening. Relatives are in town from Montana and Oregon, and some festivities will continue for awhile.

I confess to knowing not a lot about Boxing Day...is chicken a staple, or does it matter?

I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. I had a great time at Jason's Mum and Dad's. Lovely meal, and then back home to watch Dr Who and the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special which Ali and Brian won. Yippee!!

I would have come on last night but my internet went down, yet again!

Today is Boxing Day here. Totally hedonistic. Chicken in the oven. Vodka and tonic in hand. What more can I say?

Merry Christmas to all my friends at the BBB!!! I had a great time last night at my sisters house, Paul and his kids were there, then my kids came home and spent the night and we had a huge breakfast with mimosas, coffee and cinnamon rolls, opened gifts and now I am getting ready to spend the evening with Paul and his family. My new hours start on 1st January. I will be down to 30 hours a week, working Monday to Thursday with Friday off. And I will be moving into my own office. Finally! No more reception!

These two have a fixation with my kitchen at the moment. I honestly don't know why except obviously that is where food comes from. It's a difficult one when I go to work because all the rooms face out onto a central passage where the front door is, and that leads straight out onto the street. The carpet in the lounge has been torn away already by the door, and now I have this problem with the carpet in the bedroom. One likes being in the lounge, one in the bedroom. LOL.

Silly kitties indeed...I haven't had that happen before. That would have been a new one for me.

We used to have a basement in a tri-level house one of our cats INSISTED upon sneaking down into if the door was ever open.
It was an unfinished area used for storage mostly - in all the years we were there she never lost her fascination with sneaking down those stairs.
We would never miss her of course until she would get tired of being down there alone and start...
